Firestone Studios is a full High Definition Production and Post Production House, with extremely diverse capabilities.  Firestone Studios has a 3D Graphics division, a full retroreflective blue/green screen stage (ReflecMedia/Holoset), an Audio Recording Studio, and an HD Edit Station as well as several real-time SD Edit Stations.

    Firestone Studios specializes in HD production and multilayer 3D compositing, seamlessly combining live action, 3D animation, and physical effects.  Our projects include independent feature and short films, as well as commercials and in house productions.  Credits under the Firestone Studios name, number in the hundreds, and include several international award winning independent films, as well as commercial work done for Starz/Encore, Discovery Channel, Subway, Homeland Security, Colorado State Patrol, Alive at 25, and the National Safety Council. 

    Firestone Studios also owns a respectable amount of production equipment, including an HDCAM camera, a full array of tungsten and HMI lights, a jib, and enough grip equipment to fill a garage.  It also boasts a render farm of a dozen machines always ready to crunch away at the latest massive Combustion composite render.

           Firestone Studios has been going through a metamorphosis.  We have expanded our compositing capabilities and experience, and have done a great deal of proof of concept work, developing new techniques for doing low light blue screen, and 3D composites.  The results have been exciting, and the processes we’ve developed, have created a very unique, immersive environment where the lines between the 3D graphics and live action are blurred into a stunning new reality.  We’ve found ways of keeping our cameras moving, as our live action characters move in, and around the 3D elements, getting away from the layering of traditional composite shots, and allowing our cameras to take complex, 3D paths through our virtual worlds. 

            We have also branched into High Def production, with our Sony HD camera,  allowing us to join the pioneers of the dawning age of Digital Cinema.  This vastly improves the image quality of our live action elements, making the melding of our ultra high resolution 3D graphics with the live action composited footage even more seamless and striking.

            Our studio has also been expanding its producion equipment, growing to a point, where we are self sufficient for the majority of our productions, without limiting the complexity and variety of our shots.  We have also designed and built several custom rigs and proprietary equipment, in order to create an extremely versatile, unique studio environment, allowing us to accomplish complex shots in completely new ways.  Because of this, we have been able to overcome several limitations of traditional techniques, greatly expanding our creative capabilities.
